The industrial partners will provide a well-balanced group as they fit into a supply chain leading to the final prototype system. The Consortium believes that they provide the best people with the best facilities, to successfully deliver the COncEPT project. Together, the SMEs and RTDs introduce a diverse range of experience from across Europe and have no internal competitive elements. The End Users (wind turbine manufacturers) are eager to see the result of this project. All End Users, which support this project, will provide feedback on their requirements, and they will commit staff time to support the project and provide access to facilities during the early stages of the project and at the field trials.
It is expected that the SMEs will provide their developed NDT systems to a wide customer base, and that there will be demand for some companies to utilise their old NDT systems with new automation. It is expected that there will be demand from wind turbine companies and wind turbine maintenance companies for one or a combination of the NDT systems developed individually or as part of an integrated system.

The COncEPT Project is a collaboration between the following organisations; TWI Ltd, X-Tek Systems Ltd, Photonic Systems Ltd, General High Voltage Industries Ltd, Isotest Engineering srl, Innospexion ApS, Eon Plc, RWE nPower Plc,
Kaunas Technical University, London South Bank University and Germanischer Lloyd Wind Energy GmbH.
This project is managed and co-ordinated by TWI Ltd, and is partly funded by the European Commission under the Horizontal Research Activities Involving SMEs: Cooperative Research Programme reference COOP-CT-2006-032949.
